I AM KIND

Kindness is a behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, or concern for others, without expecting praise or reward in return. At HSFI kindness is one of the top key characteristics requested in our staff and students grade level teams. Together we must continue to build a community that is welcoming and caring.

Examples:

How can staff demonstrate Kindness within student engagement.

  • Checking on a student’s emotional state through a

  • 1 on 1 interaction.

  • Being positive

  • Sharing lunches together

  • Providing a Quiet Space

How can students demonstrate Kindness amongst their peers

  • Being positive

  • Talking to each other outside of the classroom.

  • Saying hello when passing in the hallway.

  • Checking on one another

Tools That we can provide to encourage this:

Quality time with students, and daily support.
