I AM MINDFUL

maintaining an awareness of our our surrounding environment, and our interactions is key. Being present in your interactions helps create a connection between staff, students and their peers. When you utilize the information you learn about each other to make mindful decisions you are effectively implementing the TEAMAKER’s method. 

Examples:

How can staff demonstrate Mindfulness within student engagement.

  • Sharing out highlights related to students interest. (ie. Birthdays)

  • Inviting students to create discussion topics and incorporate student opinions.

  • Conferencing with students and understanding their personal challenges.

How can students demonstrate Mindfulness amongst their peers

  • Lookout for one another.

  • Asking about one another and checking in on each other.

  • Active Listen to each other

Student Interest Chart in classroom

The T.E.A.M.A.K.E.R Framework, created by June ArcaMay, is made available for use by schools and educational institutions with proper credit to the founder. Schools are encouraged to implement the framework to cultivate environments of belongingness and inclusivity, acknowledging June ArcaMay as the originator of this transformative approach. Proper attribution ensures recognition of the founder's contributions and respects the intellectual property rights associated with the framework.
